Roxolid

Roxolid is a groundbreaking material specifically designed for the use in dental implantology. The titanium-zirconium alloy is stronger than pure titanium and has excellent osseointegration properties. This combination of properties is unique in the market, there is no other metallic alloy which unifies high mechanical strength and osteoconductivity.

Thanks to their outstanding biological and mechanical properties, Roxolid implants offer more treatment options than conventional titanium implants.

Straumann provides implants made of pure titanium grade 4 and a titanium-zirconium alloy. Titanium: The complete Straumann implant portfolio is available made of titanium grade 4. Straumann titanium grade 4 is cold worked in order to enhance the mechanical strength. Titanium has shown excellent long-term biocompatibility. Its metallic structure allows for producing the implants with the SLA / SLActive surface, thus enabling a good osseointegration.

Roxolid: In addition to titanium implants, Straumann offers Ø 3.3 mm implants made of a new alloy composed of titanium and zirconium, called Roxolid. Roxolid was designed to meet the needs of dental surgeons. The combination of Roxolid and SLActive combine higher tensile and fatigue strength with excellent osseointegration.
